Healing Families – Healing Hearts

Individual Therapy for Teens, Young Adults, and Their Parents

In-Person in Southern California and Online throughout California and Florida

Your relationship with your child is suffering.

Many things are going well for your teen or young adult.

They are doing well in school and have friends.

But communication between you has become strained.

Everything you say or do is annoying and often escalates into a full-blown argument.

Your child’s behavior is concerning.

It began with academic difficulties.

Then came the isolation from friends, choosing social media instead.

Romantic relationships seem to create severe mood swings.

Suspicions of self-destructive behaviors abound.

Nothing you’ve tried seems to help.

Your kid’s struggles have become a source of worry and frustration that often spills over onto your relationships with your partner and other family members.

Confidence in your parenting skills may be at an all-time low.

You promised yourself you would be a different kind of parent from how you were parented.

It just shouldn’t be this hard.

Strengthening your parenting strengthens your child.

Being the parent your child needs is foundational to them feeling and being their best self.

In my experience, working with the teen or young adult and parent individually improves the relationship and reduces their difficulties.

Improve your relationship with your teen and understand their struggles.

Let’s talk about how your involvement can make
all the difference in your child’s progress

and improved well-being.

Hi, I’m Elsie.

I know firsthand that when your child is struggling, you are struggling.

We have dreams and hopes for our children and our relationship with them. It can be heartbreaking when things are not going the way we had always imagined.

I will make it my mission to become YOUR family’s therapist – someone you can ALL trust.

I believe that individual sessions with family members gives each of you the space to share what is on your mind and in your heart. It’s completely normal that in times of conflict and struggle, sensitivities are high and tact can be at an all time low.

I feel therapy is most effective when family members can be 100% honest without unnecessarily hurting each other’s feelings and doing further damage to your relationship.

You will notice that as you and your children apply the things you learned in your individual sessions, your interactions in your daily life will become easier, less reactive, and more loving.

Combining proven therapy modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral, Narrative, Holistic, and Trauma-Informed Therapy, your family will experience the closeness that trust and loving communication can bring.
